Spiaggia della Mezzaluna

Proceeding along the coast from north to south, in the locality of Carisciola, we meet the Mezzaluna beach which owes its name to the particular shape of the beach, very arched which resembles a crescent. It is a very suitable beach for children with a shallow and sandy bottom, although for the little ones it is advisable to stay a little closer to the shore avoiding the lateral areas which, due to sandy movements, suddenly cover and uncover some holes. Upstream of the beach there is the small river of the Mezzaluna: a pond rich in vegetation and wildlife which, in the event of floods, joins the sea and then retreats.
